A Scunthorpe man who runs a martial arts club has been named today as the BBC Look North (East Yorkshire and Lincolnshire) Unsung Hero award winner. Stuart Usher, an engineer from Scunthorpe’s Ore Preparation Plant, has beaten off tough competition to be shortlisted for this national BBC award and is now heading for the national finals of the BBC Sports Personality of the Year Unsung Hero awards in December.

Starting on Tuesday, the church will add classes for ages 5 and older with special needs. Through the First Christian Martial Arts program, the church will begin to hold classes for special-needs children and adults to help with their motion/motor-skills.
